When I was in highschool, Troy McMurray was by far my favorite rider, mainly because of his interview in the July ‘99 issue of Ride; the interview just so happened to contain the dopest photo sequence ever. Anyway, ESPN’s got a new interview with him up, which is, of course, a must-read. Click here to check it out.

Chad Smith put NorCalBMX’s “Disobedience” DVD out in 2004, and it’s been one of those videos I sit down and watch regularly ever since. I’ll be posting it up in six segments over the next week, and this is the first, containing the intro1, the bails section2, and Chad Bautista’s part.
1Keep an eye open for a clip from the oft-discussed Joey Colombo-Troy McMurray fight from the 2003(?) Meet the Street.
2Probably half this section involves a younger, helmeted incarnation of Andy Maguire throwing himself down handrails.
