2nd Annual S&M/Fit Customer Appreciation Party, Hosted by First Rule

With the up-rising of personal activity in the First Rule Collective recently, we have decided to combine events in 2010, to be more efficient. What with Kweli’s family, my school work, Cheese out running the streets, and Koit’s constant need to be on the road, how else will the doughnuts get made??

So here you have it… this is the 2nd Annual S&M/Fit Bikes Customer Appreciation Party, hosted by First Rule!

Meet us at the Oakland Metro Opera House at 12 noon on Sunday, June 13th! We will, as per usual, Scrape the Town… but with a slight twist. You see, this street ride will come back to the Opera House for a juicy treat. This lovely venue will be fitted for all of the flatlanders we can fit on the dance floor! Chad & Amy Johnston have helped organize this to fit your flatland needs. That’s right, this is a 6,000 sq ft venue, ready to be melted by any rider who wishes to attend, for free. All any rider has to do, flat, street, or whatever your treat, is meet us at 12 noon, sign up for the ride, and get your wristband for the afterparty. This is an all-ages event, fully equipped with a BBQ and drinks, with drinks for the adults as well! (Drink specials when provided when beverages run out.) And you can bet that with Moody as emcee, with two DJs and a few bands to back him up, there will be a tad bit of entertainment for all of your taste buds!

This event is free for any rider who wishes to come out and say “what up!” There will be prizes from S&M and Fit Bikes, and local Bay Area bike shops.

Hair of the Dog interviews Dale

I don’t really know anything about The Hair of the Dog (That Bit You),but there is an interview up with Dale.  There are some cool photos that I think TDP shot so you should check it out.

Mesta came through the other day and dropped off some clips for me to edit. I’ve been pretty busy freelancing and working on lame projects like this iPhone/iPod game for Kings of Leon.

I am working on some logo resolves right now for DK which have been taking longer than I thought. My friend Jesse is a sales rep at DK and he is the one that always makes sure that we got plenty of DK goods to giveaway at First Rule jams. Jesse used to live in the Bay Area a long time ago, back in the good old days when there were weekly street rides in Berkeley and trails were everywhere.

That’s all for now.

I am currently working on a brand new First Rule website. In a couple of days it will be fully functional with loads of content for all of you to check out. One of the biggest improvements will be a blog that is up right now so you should check it out. I’ve been posting a bunch of old photos and videos and it’s really worth checking out. So do it now.

HOW5 Photos

Den says: “It’s only been two months right? My f’d up back had me avoiding the computer for a while.”

Kweli says "Click me, you crazy motherfucker!"

Hell on Wheels 5 Video

Thanks to ESPN for picking my HOW5 edit up. This is hardly representative of everything that happened, which included Ivers doing huge Euro airs out of that bank-to-sub, me doing 69420 bitchruns at Hubba and then not grinding a fucking thing, David Seaborne apparently getting arrested, Squeeks not quite making it up the Metreon rail, and a ton of other stuff.

Hell on Wheels 5: Important Update!

I just got news that First Rule’s Kweli got locked up while prepping some spots for us on Sunday. We’re going to have shirts and hats for sale on Sunday, and all proceeds and donations will go to Kweli’s attorney fees. We will also do a raffle at the end of the day, where you can win cool shit. Without Kweli none of these events would be possible, so please consider bringing some extra cash to help Kweli out.

HOW 5 Update

Hell on Wheels Five is getting pushed back to the 1st of November. That is the day after the Santa Cruz Halloween Jam and the 1st day of November. You know the drill. We’re all going to have fun and there will also be a screening of the new Mutiny Video. I’ll have a poster ready pretty soon.
