Kiraly Edit

Here's a short edit of Kevin riding down in San Diego, by Justin Kosman.

Offsite Imagery

Solid posted a scan of Ben Kellgren's photo in the latest BMX Plus! Joey Garcia posted some new photos from Chunky Hills up on Unevenground; they're of Brandon York, Mat Mardesich, and Travis Hill. Joey Cobbs has a shot each of Eddie and Loid Cleveland up on Lotek.

Mesta/Michelini

Here's some new photos and a video of Eric Mesta, and a video that Alex made of Ronnie.

Videos

I guess it's not really all mini footage because of how Tony's ramp is setup, but that's just a technicality...

Samar rules, and that's all that really needs to be said on that matter.

And here's CaliBMX's edit of the Modesto jam:

Rent is due today, and that sucks.

So... yeah. Here's those photos from Scott's place:

Here's some video from the Walnut Creek Protest; go to The Rolling Stone for more info.

And here's some pre-opening Roosevelt pictures that Josh Marcus sent in last night:

thumb Chris "Forgot Last Name", boosty flattie.
thumb Dakota Mattert, alley-oop transfer.
thumb Dakota, unlookback?

All that miniramp footage should be up tomorrow night. I filmed a few more clips yesterday out at Oscar's, plus I came across some footy that I had forgotten about from the Livermore mini, so that'll be in there too.

Six

It's 6 am in Oakland right now. Koit, Kweli, and I are off to the Cow Palace. We're on pretty much one hour of sleep. See you there?

Thanksgiving, Pt. II

Scary Larry just emailed me a link to the new ODI Thanksgiving edit. It's mainly SoCal heads, but there's a couple Wolfman clips in there that I filmed recently. To quote Vince and Scott: "Bangers!"

Thanksgiving

Canada had theirs last month, so I figured I could drop this a bit early. Enjoy. And, Andrew, hope to see you again soon; if not, have a safe trip back up to Ontario.

Nick Dawg texts: "[Hayward track] meeting went great! 5-0 vote passed the track stuff right through ;) gonna get the ball rolling with a physical build soon and fencing that whole 9 yards."

I forgot to mention in my last post that I ran into the lady who got the King park funded on Sunday morning. I didn't catch her name, but she said she'll be contacting me soon. She wants to get a couple million in funding for a rider-designed BMX park, preferably near the existing PAL football stadium over by 101 and 280. She's going to need all the help she can get, so I'll post up the details as soon as I get them.

Apparently the Gilroy Jam on Saturday didn't happen. I'd talked to Elliott and Cory on Sunday night, and had thought that they were referring to themselves simply not making it out there, not that it hadn't happened at all. Anyone know why it didn't go down?

Expect the next video (all miniramp footage from Tony and Oscar's birthdays, and Colin's ramps anniversary party) to be finished soon. I wanted to have it done last week, but it's taking awhile because of some weird lighting issues I'm trying to correct on all the clips from Colin's - I don't want half the video to be in black-and-white. I've got a couple other projects in the work as well, plus some new photos by Jared from Scott's place that should be up in a few days.

Treasure Island

Jared, Steven, Andy, Andrew, and myself went out to Treasure Island a few weeks ago to meet up with Joe, Riley, and Chris. Aside from an incredibly stupid run-in with a cop involving us crossing a road that was being used in a road bike race, it was pretty rad. Jared took a bunch of photos:

thumb Caveman, taking a breather.
thumb Tireslide.
thumb Railhop.
thumb Suicide sprocket stall.
thumb Gap to flat.
thumb Shooting the B's over the sub.
thumb Lookdown over a hip.
thumb Andrew, ice-to-fakie.
thumb Me, curb endo?
thumb Chris, emerging from an old diesel tank.
thumb Riley with Chris and Joe.
thumb Icepick.
thumb Feeble stall.
thumb Andy in the midst of an icegrind-to-fakie.

For more pics, go to Unevenground for some shots from Team Soil's show at last week's Niners game and some real rad trails photos of Brandon York and Jordan Murdock, all by Joey Garcia. Elliott says to expect some new shots from him up there soon, too.

I didn't make it out to the Gilroy or the Modesto jam, so I have no idea how those went, but that protest in Walnut Creek last week seems to have gone off well. Click here for pictures and text and whatnot.

I tweaked my back at Roosevelt yesterday morning, so I probably won't be riding much for the next couple weeks; at the same time, I won't be working much or be in school because of the holidays, so get hold of me if you want to film anything. Send in pictures, too - there's a 99.9% chance that you're more likely to get laid from a picture posted on this site than on MySpace. Proven fact.

Hayward BMX Track: Final Meeting

Hey NorCal riders! What looks to be the final meeting for the proposed track in Hayward will go down this Monday the 24th at 7:30pm, at 1099 E Street in Hayward. We need a final showing of riders of all shapes and sizes, so parents bring along the little guys, and riders in the area are more than welcome to come check out the proposed site and see it all come together. We've been going back and forth with the local community and this looks to clear the last and final issues before we get the okay to begin getting construction underway and running practice out there. The track stuff is second on the agenda, so don't worry, we won't be stuck there listening to all the city stuff for hours on end; we should be in and out within a reasonable time. Make it a day by sessioning the Hayward Skatepark, which is just a few minutes drive away, and then head on over and help out the cause. Once again we need riders of the community and surrounding areas to come and represent and show the city that we are very much in need of somewhere to ride, and ride legally, I might add. 1099 E Street in Hayward at 7:30pm on Monday, November 24th!
