the bags are packed

The bags are being packed here in a very dark and cold Oakland. I got a bike box and a suitcase on rollers over flowing with product for the event in Thailand. I will be working on a few other projects while I am out there. One is a Day in the Life of Tee and Keang. Brothers from the city of Khon Kaen that kill it, so look out for that edit to drop soon. New First Rule stickers will be available upon my return as well. Check em out!

New Site Coming Soon

Yeah. It'll be good. There's going to be a New Year's Eve session and party at Scott's place. In the meantime, here's a John Ivers/Kurt Russell that Kurt and Dan Romeo edited:

Long Beach Flatland Jam and more

Above is a video I filmed from the Long Beach Flatland Jam and below is a video filmed in Thailand in 2006

A Very Campos Christmas...

...will be taking place next Saturday, at the Cat House. Tony says: "ride the ramp during the day and party at night, so get your Santa costumes together!"

Shadow "Into The Void" Premiere/Pacifica Bikepark Fundraiser

Matt from Gearhead is stoked that I was puking blood in the morning and decided to stay in tonight to watch an overly drawn-out Western movie starring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan, with the standard "Wes Studi is Native American so let's cast him as one" cameo, resulting in me checking my email at a stupidly late hour...

Anyway, it's tonight, at 5:30, at 1039A Terra Nova Blvd. in Pacifica. Weather-permitting, there's going to be a pre-event session/dig day at the dirt jumps next to the shop; "a six pack of 3 foot high tabletops, a weird crossover line with a mini step up, and a tree-ride."

This really can't be stressed enough...

Also, congrats to Ryan and Alley (Allie?) Nyquist, who recently had their first child, Tristan. Click here for some photos and a video.

FYI

The City's official grand opening party for Roosevelt is on Saturday. It's supposed to rain, but if it's clear, it's going to be packed with skaters... leaving the other parks fairly empty, I'd think.

Oldscar...

...has sold his truck.

Kurt over at BMXUnion put a Zac Costa interview up a day or two back; as one would expect, it's a good read. Also, here's a video of Anthony Renda that Mike Kohn sent in:

Ride SFO Bike Expo and Swap

Features a bit of riding by John Ivers, Cubby, Honesto, Kyle, Ari and D Block.

Number 4

On the 22nd of this month I will make the long journey to Thailand to host my 4th BMX contest there. How amazing is that? This year the contest will be held in the city of Kohn Kaen. Riders will compete for prizes provided by Mutiny, Solid, DK, Bicycle Union, Tea Shack Project, First Rule and Magnetic clothing company. After the contest we will premiere S&M's "I Wanna Live" and Diversion's "Made in Thailand." Thats right! I will be filming my journey and submitting a edit for the Bicycle Film Festival but don't worry I will take loads of footage so I can leak some footy before the festival hits next year. If you would like to donate old parts or BMX videos for the contest please give me an e-mail. As you can imagine, it's really hard to buy parts in Thailand since there is only one BMX shop. So holla at me.
