Also, Transparent and First Rule are going to be holding a second Scrape The Town Jam in Oakland on April 6th. Should be rad.

Brokeless

vimeo Brokeless (Manny Galvin)

Yep. This it it. My word is my bond.

J.P. Acheritogaray wanted me to post this up (I've edited it a bit for clarity, but, whatever):

Me and some friends were riding in San Francisco and Colton Murphy's bike got jacked at the Clocktower. We chased the guy but couldn't keep up and eventually lost him. The shitty thing was that the guy who stole it was another BMXer; he's a Latino-looking guy that lives in SF and has long black hair and a short mustache. The bike he stole had a raw frame, fork, and bars with red rims, black parts, and an Animal Strip seat. Please let me know if you hear or see anything, or if you know that guy.

So, in other words, if you see the shady fucker that stole the bike, steal it right back. It's pretty goddamn gay that another rider stole it; the guy deserves to get his ass kicked for doing that.

Renda

Here's a couple photos of Anthony Renda that Shawn took in December.

The full-length version of Brokeless should be up tonight - the reason why Manny couldn't get it working on Google was because the file on the DVD was set to run in a weird resolution (45x480, rather than 720x480). Very odd. Anyway, as soon as I finish recompressing it to correct the error, I'll throw it up on Google Video or Vimeo.

Here's Manny's preview/trailer/teaser/whatever-you-want-to-call-it for Brokeless V.2.

Jarrod Allen Freestyle BMX: Maximum Remix

Jarrod sent me links to a pair of new videos he's got up; well, new in the sense that they're freshly edited. Some of the footy is new, some of it has been used in other videos, and some of it is old but never-before-seen. It's separated into two parts, so be sure to click the link to see the second one. Also, the third link is to a new trails edit by the POW guys out in Cottonwood.

Anybody hear that? It's an... It's an impact tremor, that's what it is... I'm fairly alarmed here.

Joe Readel found this shot of Jake on the Demolition site earlier today. In case you're wondering exactly what's going on, he hopped up the stairs, carved tightly around the middle rail (he says he clipped it with his bars a few times before pulling it), and then doing the railhop.

Congrats to Chris Savoy for taking second place at Project Mayhem. I didn't make it out there to film, but Ché Holts was present, so hopefully you'll see something on his site soon enough.

Also, the Salinas dirt jumps (next to the skatepark) are getting redone; click here to check out some of Joey's photos of the progress made thus far.

We miss you, man.

This isn't all the photos from Lloyd's going-away party, but it makes up a fairly good portion of them; they're all taken by Shawn Hott, unless otherwise noted.

I've also got this new photo of Lloyd riding back in the Mother Country:

Although Manny still hasn't uploaded the full-length Brokeless video to Google Video because he's been too busy playing Call of Duty 4, he has put up a short teaser edit of Silent Mike for the sequel.

What else...?
  1. As soon as I find the time (tomorrow night?) to go by Mike Davis' place to pick it all up, I'll post what I'll be selling for Lloyd.
  2. Nick Dawg's surgery yesterday went well, and he's totally psyched on Percocet.
  3. Tony Campos is going to be having a costume party at his place next Saturday night. Be there.
  4. Skate City in Vegas is going to be having a St. Patty's Day jam on Sunday, March 16th.

That's Life...

vimeo "That's Life" Trailer (Elliot Negron)

This is a short trailer for a webvideo that Elliot's working on, featuring a bunch of the younger guys, including Silent Mike, Alex O., and Sean Seiling.

I'm simultaneously in the process of going through the pictures from Lloyd's party and working on my homework from Chemistry 1B, so you'll see the photos as soon as I figure out how to calculate ΔS° for 3NO2(g) + H2O(l) → 2HNO3(aq) + NO(g) and at what temperature NH3(g) + HCl(g) → NH4Cl(s) becomes spontaneous, amongst other things. So... it might be a while.

In other news, Nick Dawg is having his knee surgery tomorrow at Valley Medical. Hella.

Trails!

quicktime Trails!

This is footy from the weekend of the Gilas Jam; most of the clips are actually from Sunday out at Watsonville, though. Riders include Jackson, Dusty, and the brothers Hernandez. I'm pretty happy with how this one came out, and I'm hoping everyone enjoys it. The Caveman video should be done soon, by the way.
