Site Updates
A Note from the Webmaster...
Mon, 01/26/2009 - 6:55pm — Chris McMahonAs of January 26, 2009, SJBMX is located at http://www.sjbmx.com, rather than http://www.sjbmx.com/cms.
This section of the site is kept open for archive purposes, as it contains all of the photos posted to the site between February 2005 and December 2008, as well as a large number of videos hosted off-site.
For archived photos, arranged by rider, please click here. For archived videos, organized by date, please click here.
Almost done...
Sat, 01/24/2009 - 4:44pm — Chris McMahonThe new site should be up in a few days. Expect at least one new video, a rad photo from Cubby, and a set of photos from Cobbs to go along with it.
Joey Cobbs...
Mon, 01/12/2009 - 8:33pm — Chris McMahon...has two sets of photos up at Etnies: Joey Cobbs! and More On The Cobbs! I'm pretty stoked, since I shot most of them (granted, Joey actually set the shots up, haha). On the subject of Joey, he should have an Autophoto up at Defgrip soon, too.
In unrelated news, it looks like the site overall is going to get pushed back; I just got more contract work with the SJSU Geology Department this morning, and work has to come before play.
Getting there...
Wed, 01/07/2009 - 12:23am — Chris McMahonThe new site's getting closer to being finished, and it's looking like it'll be on schedule. You can expect the following changes:
- Upcoming events will be shown through a calendar, rather than a list, so you don't have to think about it anymore.
- You'll now be able to search for photos and videos by rider, photographer, and videographer, through Flickr tagging that's integrated into the site. Now you can find that picture of yourself way fast.
- Due to the large number of existing rider pages being a big hassle to maintain, only some selected riders will have their own pages. However, you can look anybody up through the aforementioned tagging system. The main advantage of this, at least for me, is that I only have to go through two steps to add photos to the site now, instead of quite a few more.
- You'll be able to access anything on the site from any page, as opposed to the current system of having to go to the Riders section to access media.
- You won't need to log in anymore to post comments.
- More bloggers (in addition to Dawg, Nip, and myself) contributing, leading to more updates per week.
Yeah dirtbag, no, she doesn't know what she's missin'.
Fri, 08/22/2008 - 7:41pm — Chris McMahonNew photos tomorrow, including a riding shot I took of Dawg with Jared's camera yesterday and a bunch of lifestyle shots from Wednesday's BBQ by Derek Wilson.
That one part of the site has been removed, along with the chatbox. Jared Strate is disappointed that he never got to post "TLDR" in response to the rodent's ranting.
Don't mind the title; watch it anyhow. Yanked off Roll Mexican. Raddest video of the year, heed my words.
Here's a pair of new videos that are cool, but simply can't compare to the one above. I'm every bit for serious now. Anyway, the first one is Gwadder 2 by the now-infamous Alex Ourricariet. The second one is old footy from Mike Kohn, of the following East Bay kids: Scott Lynn, Jeremy Joy, Alec and Marc Hugo, Josh Gray, Zach Becker, Robert Campbell, Josh Baty, Austin McNaughton and Mike Kohn.

Fri, 03/21/2008 - 7:13am — Chris McMahonNothing's up yet, but the infamous Damian Schinella will now have his own section of the site to reminisce on the old days, bitch about the ridiculous tight pants kids wear these days, and... do pretty much whatever he wants. Click me.
In other news, I'm halfway through physical therapy, but should be back on the bike later today; apparently half my problem is that my left hamstring is way tighter than my right. Go figure.
In other-other news, vert has been dropped from the X-Games, but ESPN will continue to send Jamie Bestwick a paycheck and a gold medal yearly until he decides to hang up his Etnies and retire.
Finally...
Sun, 03/09/2008 - 7:27pm — Chris McMahonI added a page for Kevis; unlike all the other rider pages, I set this one up so that you can leave comments, for the obvious reason. If anyone has any lifestyle or riding pictures of Kevis that they want me to throw up, feel free to send them to my email address.
Also, I added a page for photos of riders that are unidentified: Who's That?. There's only three pictures left, but, yeah... let me know who's who so I can give credit where it's due.
Anyway, I should have some new pictures from Cody Brown up later this week.
For the time being, though, here's a classic Vans-era Nick Dawg video. Note the crankflips and TE-fufanus all over the place; you just don't see that shit anymore. I'm going to go ahead and assume that this was filmed and edited by Mike Davis, who now does music videos for San Quinn and some other rappers. Go fig.

Tue, 01/29/2008 - 3:52pm — Chris McMahon
Kurtis Elwell (Lotek)Zach Shoemaker (the guy from Antioch who does underhanded flairs on a ridiculously light titanium Grim Reaper) has a video up at Vimby, filmed and edited by Don McCall.
Zach Shoemaker (Don McCall)The new Shook video, "Like Totally", is out now; Dan Romeo from Pittsburg (not be confused with Pittsburgh, PA) has a full part in it.
I'm still working on updating the rider pages; they won't be done before the end of the month, but they will be done soon. Sorry again for the delay.
Gilas Jam...
Sat, 01/19/2008 - 8:49pm — Chris McMahonCody Brown sent in some new photos of himself, Rigo, Elliott, and Silent Mike; check them out in the links below or on their rider pages. In semi-related news, I added twenty-nine riders to the list last night, and another twenty-seven tonight.
Still Getting There...
Thu, 01/17/2008 - 12:03am — Chris McMahonBy the way, don't forget to go to the Gilas Jam in Gilroy this weekend! Jake Honesto won't be present because he's visiting his sister in DC, but word has it that there will be an award presented in his honor.
