the angular velocity of a wheel can be expressed as a function of its radius and speed.

Radians per unit time is proportional to the radius of the wheel.

Do any of you guys ever think about more than BMX? I do.

I love physics and engineering. This post is about life outside of BMX.

I love astrophysics and quantum physics. The former more so than the latter. For the longest time my life revolved around one thing: BMX. I got good as a result, but other parts of me where failing; namely, I was an 8th grade drop out. I figured out that there is more to the world than bikes. I discovered that there is joy in learning.

Bikes are great. However there are things out there that if focused on primarily, can yield more greatness than BMX has potential too. I'm not saying that in God's eyes BMX is better than football or rocket jockeying. I'm saying that my life will be better spent if I focus on the greatest potential within me. I am better at building and designing complex electronics than I am at BMX. The idea exists within me to combine these passions of mine. Now, I am chasing my ultimate dream of becoming an astronaut.

What truly inspires you?

What do you want to do with your life?

Who are you; where are you from; where are you going?

When I grow up I want to be an American.

Forget School Just Keep Riding :D

You know what Lloyd, I can aprecciate that sentiment. There are a nary a few countries with the surplus of funds needed to run a space program. Lack of money and politics deny even basic flight to most of the world's population, and the people that have space flight try to deny it to most other nations out of a cold war type fear. For example, the United States wants to stop Iran from developing high power, long range missles and atomic weapons. If you put those things together, you get something that could destroy a great deal of people. Ideologically, Iran is very opposed to the United States, and so our government reacts in a negetive manner.

Conversely, we could appluad them for organizing thier society in such a way as to be able to develop a potentially peaceful space program, and be able to produce nueclear power plants. Our media does not focus on the positive possibilities.

Poverty can bar anyone from the benefits of flight.

To be a citizen of one of the countries that has a space program is just plain lucky. I am. I often wonder however, "Is it worth it to leave a planet behind that needs so much?" Often, I think about how my planned degrees could also be used to help the most destitute of humans. I could try to create an efficient pedal powered generator, or cheap solar stills.

What do you think about poverty? Do you want to do anything about it?

Efficiency and progress is ours once more
Now that we have the neutron bomb
Its nice and quick and clean and gets things done
Away with excess enemy
But no less value to property
No sense in war but perfect sense at home

The sun beams down on a brand new day
No more welfare tax to pay
Unsightly slums gone up in flashing light
Jobless millions whisked away
At last we have more room to play
All systems go to kill the poor tonight

Gonna
Kill kill kill kill kill the poor tonight

Behold the sparkle of champagne
The crime rates gone
Feel free again
Oh life's a dream with you, Miss Lily White
Jane Fonda on the screen today
Convinced the Liberals it's okay
So lets get dressed and dance away the night

While they
Kill kill kill kill kill the poor tonight

I had a poverty hub when I was like 13. It held up then, but I don't think it would now. I think I'll just keep it in my closet for a while.
