The Russian Slava-class guided missile cruiser Varyag is docked at Piers 30-32 on the Embarcadero this week (the first time a Russian naval vessel’s docked in San Francisco since during the Civil War, in 1863), and they’re doing tours on Thursday from 10AM-1PM. Figured I should post it, since it’s highly unlikely that the opportunity to take a tour of an ex-Soviet warship is going to arise again. Via The Chronicle.
Here’s the Bay Area stops. I’m not sure how the Roosevelt stop’s going to go, with the park being a bust as of late, but hopefully it’ll go well. I’ve also got to wonder how they plan on being at Warriors of Wood II on the 27th, when it’s been rescheduled to take place on the 26th, so there may be some changes to this soon. Via Fox.
